How do I get rid of Hardware Error: GC: Column Pressure for the HAPSITE Smart Plus?
Applies to: Chromatography Smart Plus (GC/MS) | Tickets Solved: 1
The most likely explanation is that either the sample loop is installed incorrectly or the concentrator is broken or not completely installed. Uninstall the sample loop and make sure the graphite ferrules are oriented correctly and in good condition. Check for any debris present in the HAPSITEĀ® sample port (where the bottom of the sample loop or concentrator screws into). If there is debris, use a can of compressed air to blow out the port and then follow by cleaning the port with methanol. Tighten the sample loop nuts with a 7/16" wrench until the movable arm does not move when pulled up. If it is only received when using the concentrator then check for any cracks and make sure the plastic ferrules are present and in good condition. If there are graphite ferrules on the concentrator, replace them with the plastic ferrules that are used for the concentrator. Carefully tighten the nuts by hand until the movable arm does not move when gently pulled up and retry the method. If the error is still received using only the concentrator, replace the concentrator and retry the method again. See the attached documents for proper sample loop and concentrator installation.
