The IdentiFINDER has repeated calibration failures, what should I do?

Applies to: Radiation Identifinder (Gamma Spectroscopy) | Tickets Solved: 1

Repeated calibration failures may be the result of excess background radiation or incorrect calibration setting. Move the instrument to a clean area where there are no radiation sources and reattempt the calibration. Also, check to ensure that the calibration source is set to Cs-137 by selecting [Advanced Options] then [Calibration]. If the IdentiFINDER, after these corrections, still fails the calibration it may need to be re-calibrated. Use the attached document to guide you through an IdentiFINDER recalibration.
